Accessible Canada Partnerships webinar

Summary

The Accessible Canada Directorate (ACD) at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is pleased to invite you to the Accessible Canada Partnerships webinar. The webinar is scheduled for February 25, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:30PM ET and will be facilitated by LIFT Impact Partners.

The webinar is free and open to all and will feature five projects that are advancing accessibility and inclusion across Canada under the Accessible Canada Partnerships stream (Partnerships) of the Accessible Canada Fund.

The objective of this webinar is to present these projects and the work that the organizations are doing to scale-up and sustain their activities over the long-term under the Accessible Canada Fund’s new phased funding model, to support a barrier-free Canada. The webinar will also support the exchange of knowledge and lessons learned from these projects, in particular as it relates to the critical role of partnerships to deliver on their projects.

This webinar will be of great interest to organizations working in the disability sector, as well as policymakers and program leads that are seeking to build knowledge and partnerships to expand accessibility for all, in particular for persons with disabilities from diverse and underrepresented groups.

The webinar will take place via Zoom on February 25, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:30PM ET.

The webinar will feature presentations from the following organizations:

DEEN Support Services (The IDEA Project) The Environmental Health Association of Quebec’s Empowering Community and Removal of Barriers project The New Society Institute’s The Accessibility Exchange project Ontario College of Art and Design - Inclusive Design Research Centre’s Financial Inclusion project Physical Health Education Canada’s Game Changers project

The webinar will be facilitated by LIFT Impact Partners, who have been providing capacity-building support to the organizations as they work to scale-up to reach more people and communities and to sustain their activities in the long term.

The webinar will be bilingual (English and French) and fully accessible with interpretation in American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes québécoise(LSQ), as well as live captioning.
